Apple Canada and Tender Retail have teamed up to allow Apple’s in-store customers to avoid the checkout line completely. Drawing on technology developed for the computer maker’s US retail environment, Tender Retail and Apple have launched a Canadian-exclusive payment process that allows floor staff to complete a credit or gift card transaction anywhere in the store via a handheld card reader. The receipt is then e-mailed to the buyer, resulting in vastly improved customer through-put and satisfaction.
